1. Introduction
Your privacy matters to us — arguably more than it matters at most shops, given what we sell. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). It applies to all visitors and customers of naughty-by-nature.co.za.

2. What we collect
We collect personal information only when it’s necessary for a specific, legitimate purpose:
- Name and surname — to process and deliver your order
- Email address — for order confirmations, delivery updates and (only with your consent) marketing
- Phone number — so the courier can reach you
- Delivery address — to ship your order
- Order history — if you create an account
- IP address, browser and device information, cookies — for security, fraud prevention and making the site work properly
We do not store your full card details — payments are processed by our PCI-compliant payment provider.
3. How we use it
- Processing and delivering orders (the main event)
- Communicating about your order — confirmations, tracking, support
- Marketing, only if you opt in — and every mail has a working unsubscribe link
- Fraud prevention, security and legal compliance
We never sell your personal information. We never share it with third parties for their marketing. Your purchase history is nobody’s business but yours.
4. Who we share it with
Only the minimum needed to get your order to you: our courier partners (name, address, phone — never the contents description), our payment processor (transaction details), and our website hosting provider (secure storage). Each is bound by their own POPIA obligations.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your age-verification answer, and understand how the site is used. You can manage preferences via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, or through your browser settings.
6. Your rights under POPIA
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za)

7. Security & retention
Your data is protected with encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access, and reputable secure hosting. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as the law requires (e.g. tax records), then delete it.
8. Changes
If we update this policy we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes get a notice on the site.
